Help / Setup

From web page to Figma.

Web2UI turns URLs, local HTML/ZIP files, and browser captures into editable Figma layers. A free account includes 10 conversion credits per credit period.

Chrome + Figma workflow

1. Choose a source

Use a public URL or HTML/ZIP file in the Figma plugin, or start an explicit capture from the Chrome extension.

2. Capture or convert

For Chrome, choose Visible Area, Capture Page, or Selection, then pick one viewport and one theme.

3. Import editable layers

Copy keeps the prepared result on this device for direct paste. Send uploads the capture to your Web2UI account for conversion and Figma import.

Install Web2UI only from its official Chrome Web Store and Figma Community listings.

URL and file import

In the Figma plugin, use URL for a public webpage or File for a supported .html, .htm, or .zip export. URL conversion does not receive your third-party browser cookies; use the Chrome extension only when you intentionally need the state visible in your browser.

Permissions and privacy

Chrome page access, scripting, and temporary debugger attachment are used only after you start a capture. They support page extraction and the viewport or theme you selected; Web2UI does not monitor ordinary browsing.

Troubleshooting

  • Sign in to the same Web2UI account in both clients, then refresh the Capture tab in Figma.
  • Keep the source tab open until a Chrome capture finishes; restricted browser pages cannot be captured.
  • For a large capture that cannot fit on the clipboard, choose Send to Figma instead of Copy.
  • If a conversion fails, retry it from the job status shown in the client. Credits are restored for eligible terminal cloud failures.
